Ама ти казвам, най-мразя нощните смени. Прибирах се значи вчера от нощна смяна, ама толкова ми се спеше, че едва гледах. Наближих нашия вход, а отпред се насъбрали хора, ама хора ти казвам. На събрание на етажната собственост няма толкова.
- Какво се е случило – питам, ама кой да ми обърне внимание. Гина Пърмакова от четвъртия като взела думата, не можеш да кажеш думичка отгоре ѝ, че тя веднага просъсква едно „Не ме прекъсвай!“, след което продължава речта си.
От пет години живея тук, но още не познавам и половината съседи. Няма кой да попитам какво става. Хеле до мене застава бай Пенчо, комшията ни на осмия етаж. Погледнах нагоре и какво мислиш, от балкона на петия висеше закачен плик от завивка, от който се подаваха два мършави крака и срамотиите мъж, който до кръста беше влязал през дупката в плика. Той махаше с крака и викаше с продран глас „Помощ“. Ама викаше ти казвам. Направо онемях от гледката. Сънливостта ми изчезна, сякаш съм изпил тенджера с кафе.
Спрях да разпитвам повече стареца и се заслушах в речта на Гина.
- ... тогава нещо се чу отвън и като погледнах пред прозореца, видях пред балкона ми да виси този плик, а в него гол мъж и вика, та се къса „Помоооощ“. Ама пликът се закъсал, току виж ще се раздере и той ще полети надолу. Веднага се обадих на 160.
- Ти от къде разбра, че е мъж – подвикна Киро от седмия етаж, предизвиквайки смях у зяпачите.
- Не ме прекъсвай, че може да ти кажа, че този плик май е от твоя балкон. Само при вас, на седмия виси такова пране. По-добре върви да провериш какво прави у вас жена ти.
- Тя замина на село – сконфузен отговори Киро.
- Иди провери да не се е върнала – подвикна друг, предизвиквайки бурния смях на останалите.
В този миг се чу сирената и пожарната кола спря пред блока. Вдигнаха стълбата и се качиха до петия етаж. Как да е извадиха оня от плика, после свалиха самия плик и го увиха около него, като да беше арабски шейх, преди да го свалят на земята. Беше младо момче, я имаше я не двадесет години.
Тогава отново усетих колко ми се спи. Прибрах се и си легнах. Много обичам да спя на изпрани чаршафи. Жена ми тъкмо тръгваше за работа. Все така сме с нея, аз се прибирам, тя излиза, аз излизам, тя се прибира. Уморен заспах, а в съня ми онзи човек. Изскача на нашата тераса, опитва се да се прехвърли по парапета на долния балкон, но полита надолу, оплита се в прането и лети, докато не увисва на балкона на петия етаж. Събуждам се облян в пот. Ух, кошмар... Лежа и си мисля, какво ли може да уплаши толкова един непознат мъж, че да полети от балкона.
